What to Expect

Immediately after treatment, application of a protective ointment will be applied by the nurse assisting Dr. Nawada.  Patients may see redness and peeling for only a few days after their treatment, but avoidance of sun exposure is very crucial, and as the skin heals progressively, sun protection should be applied and makeup may be applied after healing is complete.

Patients should use sun protection at all times after their treatment and limit direct sun exposure as much as possible.  Patients should talk to their plastic surgeon about when to schedule follow-up appointments.................. and creating a good home skin care routine.
