Overview

The Contour TRL (Turntable Resurfacing Laser) uses a 2940 Er:YAG laser on the Sciton JOULE system to perform skin treatments from the MicroLaserPeel® to deep resurfacing. The Contour TRL can be customized by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Kesh Nawada to the patient’s needs by the plastic surgeon to meet their needs and goals. The laser reaches the needed tissue level to stimulate collagen production, which makes the skin firmer and more elastic. Contour TRL at Nawada Plastic Surgery, serving Central Florida, is best to perform:

  • Scar Revision
  • Skin Resurfacing
  • Skin Tone and Texture Improvement
  • Wrinkle Improvement

Procedure Information

The Contour TRL treatment is performed in the plastic surgeon’s office with shields over the patient’s eyes to protect the eyes. Once the patient is ready, the laser is passed slowly over the treated areas. The procedure generally takes less than one hour, but this varies based on the extent of the patient’s treatment. The patient’s skin will be protected and moisturized before the patient is sent home to recover.

Average Costs:

  • Deep Resurfacing - Full Face  —  $1,000  —  $4,000
  • Contour TRL - Peri-oral Area  —  $1,200
  • Contour TRL -  Peri-orbital Area  —  $1,200
  • MicroLaserPeel® - Epidermal Peel — 10-50 Microns depth  —  $300

What to Expect

Before the patient leaves, the plastic surgeon will go talk about the best ways to care for the skin after the Contour TRL treatment, including normal after effects and when they will see results. The skin will usually be pink to red and tender for 1 – 4 weeks after the treatment, so patients should avoid sun exposure and use sun protection liberally. Once the skin heals after the treatment, the patient will see their results in about 6 – 8 weeks. Patients should contact their plastic surgeon when they see their results fading and want a touch-up treatment.
