Overview

Winter Haven, FL plastic surgeon, Dr. Kesh Nawada is known throughout the community for introducing minimally invasive treatments that result in outstanding outcomes. One of the latest and greatest to hit the aesthetic scene is J-Plasma® to resurface the skin. This is used to perform J-Ablate™, a skin resurfacing treatment that uses a cool helium application to the outer skin, heating it precisely and with accuracy so that the surrounding tissue remains healthy. This technique removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis), similar to laser skin resurfacing using an ablative approach, but without burning the deeper dermal layers so that just enough heat is used to cause contraction of the skin. Depending on the area being treated and the depth of the wrinkles, J-Ablate™ can be applied numerous times in one session to attain the desired results.

The Results?

Sun damage and wrinkles diminish leaving a softer more youthful skin texture and tone. In addition, the skin is tightened and lifted. J-Ablate™ is recommended for patients with mild to moderate skin conditions. In the past, patients would have to consider a surgical facelift and a deeper resurfacing procedure to achieve similar results, and while those methods are still popular and widely used today, J-Ablate™ is great for turning back the hands of time with minimal downtime, no scarring, and at a huge reduction in cost. As with PlasmaTight™ this procedure can be performed on numerous areas of the body. Call Dr. Nawada and schedule your consultation to learn more.

Lip Wrinkle Reduction

The peri-oral region, or area around the mouth, is one of the areas that benefit the most from J- Ablate™. This is the first modality that can actually remove wrinkles around the mouth (peri-oral rhytids) without causing a white ring around the mouth or a fake duck-like look of excessive fillers. Additionally, because of the ability of cool plasma to cause tissue contraction, lips that thin with age can be brought back to a more youthful, aesthetic shape by actually lifting the lip margin and shortening the lip length between the nose and the upper lip without surgery!

After Your J-Ablate Procedure

After having J-Ablate™, you may experience swelling and redness of the treated areas. It is critical to avoid the sun in the weeks following your procedure. Healing takes anywhere from 7 – 14 days. Dr. Nawada and his aesthetician will provide you with specific instructions and products to help your skin heal faster and optimize your results. You will also have complimentary skin care services to prepare your skin in advance and to maintain your results following your treatment. At about 3 weeks following J-Ablate™, most patients are back to normal wearing makeup, although some pinkness can remain for up to 3 months.

Is J-Ablate Right For Me?

Dr. Nawada recommends that J-Ablate™ only be performed on men and women of relatively fair skin. Typically, patients who have a darker complexion, such as Latino and African Americans, are not candidates for this type of procedure. There are other nonsurgical options available, however, that may offer a better outcome. Dr. Nawada will let you know and make alternative recommendations if needed.
